PowerCenter 8.x Level I Developer
This four-day, instructor-led course provides the basic skills and knowledge developers new to Informatica PowerCenter require to implement data integration projects, exposing core features of PowerCenter releases 8.0 to 8.6 through lecture and hands-on exercises. In addition to gaining tremendous insight into the data integration platform, students will be exposed to Informatica Velocity Best Practices, troubleshooting techniques, and the use of technical support options. The course concludes with workshops in which students design and implement a data integration project based on business requirements.

Course Objectives
After successfully completing this course, students should be able to:

• Use PowerCenter 8 Designer to build mappings that move data from sources to targets
• Use PowerCenter 8 Workflow Manager to build and run a workflow that runs a session based on a mapping
• Design mappings and workflows based on business needs
• Perform basic troubleshooting of PowerCenter mappings and transformations
• Use Informatica Support options to resolve questions and problems about Informatica PowerCenter 8
